QUEEN OF HEARTS RAFFLE 8/2/2017 The Woodlawn Country Club in Farmer City will be conducting a weekly raffle to be held at the Club, located at 901 E. Richardson Street, Farmer City. HOW MUCH CAN I WIN? The Pot amount is available at the Woodlawn Country Club. Stop in and check it out. How the raffle works: The raffle will be known as the Queen of Hearts raffle, and is open to members only over the age of 21. Once a week, a winning ticket will be drawn from those sold that week. The owner of the ticket drawn from those sold that week will then get to pick a card from a board. The board initially consists of 52 playing cards plus 2 jokers randomly placed face down in numbered envelopes. If the Queen of Hearts is drawn, they win the POT. If not, the POT rolls over to the next week. Other payouts are also given. Complete rules and payout information are posted at Woodlawn Country Club. How do I buy Tickets and how much are they? Tickets are $5.00 each, and are on sale daily at the Woodlawn Country Club located at 901 E. Richardson Street, Farmer City, Illinois. When and Where is the drawing held? The drawing will be held each Friday at 8 PM at the Woodlawn Country Club, 901 E. Richardson Street, Farmer City, Illinois. Doors will open to the Country Club at 5 PM, with food and beverages available for purchase. QUEEN OF HEARTS RULES 8/2/2017 The Queen of Hearts Raffle utilizes the Queen of Hearts manufacturer’s board. The board has been developed specifically for this raffle game. The board initially consists of 52 playing cards plus 2 Jokers randomly placed face down and numbered. Tickets will be sold and placed in a tumbler or similar device for drawing. Must be 21 years or older and a member of Woodlawn Country Club to purchase a ticket. This includes any category of membership.In addition, a special membership category has been established solely for the Queen of Hearts Raffle. An individual may purchase this membership for $50.00 (good through the end of the CALENDAR YEAR). These individuals are then entitled to participate in the Queen of Hearts raffle ONLY. The Board of Managers reserves the right to change this fee effective at the beginning of the next calendar year.Tickets will be sold for $5.00 each. Tickets will be sold starting immediately after the drawing and continuing until just before next week’s drawing. Tickets are sold to ONE INDIVIDUAL identified by number. A record of assigned individual numbers is maintained by the club. These numbers carry forward to future drawings.The drawing date will be each FRIDAY NO EARLIER THAN 8:00 PM at Woodlawn Country Club, 901 E Richardson St, Farmer City, Illinois. Individual drawings may be held on different days to accommodate club events with prior notice.The winning ticket for the week will be drawn by a representative of Woodlawn Country Club.The purchaser holding the winning ticket will receive a specific amount of money, determined by Pot amount/Stage, and will pick a card from the board.If the Queen of Hearts is not drawn, the pot will roll over to the next week. Previous week’s tickets are discarded and new ticket purchases begin. It could take up to 54 weeks.If a Joker, or another Queen is drawn, a specific amount of money (determined by Pot/Stage) is awarded.If you know you will not be present at the drawing, you can write a numbered card from the board on your raffle ticket and a representative from Woodlawn Country Club will select and open your numbered card. If you do not write a card number on your ticket, a representative from Woodlawn Country Club will select one on your behalf. If you are not present and your number selection is the Queen of Hearts, you will receive 50% of the Pot amount and the remainder will be rolled over to the next Pot. If you are not present, and your ticket is drawn, you will not be eligible for any secondary prizes.If the winning ticket holder present picks the Queen of Hearts, they will receive the listed Pot Amount .Woodlawn Country Clubretains20%of the total proceeds, which will be removed from weekly sales.The POT amount is determined as follows:The INITIAL POT amount for the first drawing of any given raffle will be either of the following: The Amount rolled over from the PREVIOUS POT, if any, or If there is no rollover amount, the proceeds of the previous week’s ticket sales, or Once an INITIAL POT amount is established, weekly ticket sales will be continuously held one week in arrears before being added to the POT.If an amount of $600.00 or more is won on the Queen of Hearts Raffle, necessary tax information will be required and a 1099 will be issued by Woodlawn Country Club.
