Hole # 11 is a 507 yard (White tees) par 5 that has several hazards the golfer needs to avoid. First, the creek that meanders thru the course comes into play on the right side of the fairway about 230 yards from the White tees. It runs parallel to the right rough until it makes a 90 degree bend to the left and cuts between the fairway and the green about 70 yards from the green. There are trees in the right rough that come into play on an errant tee shot. The left rough has trees and a drive in that rough generally eliminates the chance for a good second shot. The longer hitters can reach the green in 2; but, shorter hitters can lay up to about 100 - 125 yards out to set up their approach shot.
The green has 2 bunkers that come into play. One is located on the front right of the green and the other is to the right of the green. A tee shot to the right side of the fairway generally has to navigate the front, right bunker to reach the green. You do not want to be long on your approach shot as nothing good will come of it. There is a row of hedges behind the green. If your ball lands in them and is not playable, you are assessed a 1 stroke penalty and local rules have you drop your ball in the drop area to the left of the green. If your ball goes thru the hedges, it will be out-of-bounds and you will face a penalty stroke and have to re-hit from your last location.
The green has very few spots that are level so most putts will have a moderate to severe break. Generally, the only straight putts are from directly beneath or above the hole. If the cup is near the front of the green and your putts goes past the hole left or right, it is quite possible for the ball to roll off the front of the green. Touch is important on this green.
