Hole # 1/10 is a 415/402 yard, uphill, par 4 from the Blue and White tees. It is 400/328 yards from the Red/Gold tees. From the Red tees, it plays as a par 5. The only hazard is the creek that runs in front of the Blue, White, and Red tees. It does not normally come into play. The Gold tees are on the green side of the creek. This is the only hole on the course that does not have a bunker. It doesn't matter where your drive lands in the fairway, so long as it is in the fairway. If your drive is either left or right of the fairway, you will probably find yourself among trees. It is quite likely your shot from there will not be an approach to the green but, rather, a shot back to the fairway. Par is a difficult score from the trees.
If you are going to miss the green on your approach shot, it is best to miss it in front, or directly right, of the green. There is a mogul on the left of the green; and, any approach shot long of the green (more than a just a few feet) will find the next shot likely contending with the trees behind the green.
The green is fairly level with no severe breaks. There are, however, some very subtle breaks so be sure to read the green. For most golfers, par is a score they are happy with on this hole.
